What is Qualitative Method?

Common types of qualitative method are interview, observation, case study etc

It is generally more difficult to safeguard the anonymity of the respondents in a qualitative method because they express themselves in their own words, and there are fewer respondents. The method is more time-consuming because you use more time per respondent than you would in a quantitative method.

What is Quantitative Method?

Quantitative method produces a measurable result in a finite group. The same questions apply to all respondents and one will be able to measure trends based on responses given. Quantitative methods will produce results that can be measured with numbers and is a good basis to compile statistics.

One common type of quantitative method is surveys.
