Universitetsbiblioteket er primært en informasjonsressurs for studenter og ansatte ved Universitetet i Agder. Biblioteket yter også tjenester til enkeltpersoner, nærings-, utdannings- og kulturlivet.

As the leaves turn and the air gets crisp, the library becomes our perfect hideaway—a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You can still enjoy sunny vibes thanks to the exhibition of happy summer moments, following the paths of your memories from holidays. But you are also welcome to get inspiration from the autumn exhibition on the first and second floors, where there are new books and charming decorations that wrap you in a blanket of comfort. It’s the perfect place to spark inspiration, reflect, and embrace the cozy rhythm of fall. 🍁
At the beginning and middle of September, there were stands in the main hall of the university promoting our beautiful library. We are very thankful to those students who took part in the survey about the library. We received comprehensive information, various points of view, and valuable ideas for the improvement of our service. 📝The survey is still ongoing, so every opinion of yours will be relevant (UiA Bibliotek Blog - Library subject guides. As many students are newcomers this year, let’s get more acquainted with the services in the library. There is UiA Hjelp on the first floor, straight away from the entrance. 💻They assist with IT services and tools, such as mobile phones, software, IT equipment, Zoom, and video production. In the reading area, you can find the stand with new newspapers and journals📰. There is also access to printers and scanners. Just use your ID card.
Next, you’ll find the bookcases with ordered books; all students and staff can order books from other libraries or even archives if they are interested in a particular source.
Skrivestua offers support with literature searching and academic writing. If you are struggling with writing or have no idea how to use tools like Oria or Scopus, just visit Skrivestua on weekdays, from 10:00 to 14:00 📝.
🔣MathRIC is a centre for research, innovation, and coordination of mathematics teaching. MatRIC drop-in is a low-threshold offer for those who want help with mathematics. This applies to students in teacher training programmes and those taking courses in mathematics, economics, and engineering.
