Get enough sleep

by silje vaageng on 2023-05-31T12:41:00+02:00 in General Study, Wellbeing | 1 Comment

Establishing good sleeping patterns can be challenging, but it's definitely worth the effort. Developing effective sleeping patterns can significantly improve your learning outcomes and make the studying process more efficient and enjoyable. On the other hand, poor sleep can damage your health and badly affect your ability to work and your daytime productivity.

These tips can help you sleep and study well:

  1. Keep a regular daily rhythm, every day. Get up and go to bed at the same time, both during weekdays and in the weekends.
  2. Look outside and get daylight in your eyes when you wake up in the morning. It will refresh your energy levels quicker.
  3. Avoid caffeinated drinks in the afternoon and night.
  4. Avoid hard exercise at night, as this gets you more invigorated.
  5. Turn of all electronic equipment no later than an hour before your bedtime. Use an app that regulates your screentime.
  6. Write down any worries you may have on a piece of paper at night, and tell yourself not to think about them until the morning.

Have you ever had any trouble sleeping during exams?

You can find more about sleep studies among students at the library, or maybe check out this article on Oria.
