PhD Connect

A social forum for doctoral fellows organized by the University of Agder Library

About PhD Connect

PhD Connect is a monthly series of social gatherings for all PhD’s at the University of Agder, which is organized by the University Library. Its aim is to create a social space for PhD’s across all faculties, doctoral programs and fields, where it will be possible to have discussions, gain new knowledge and share ideas with your peers in a relaxed and friendly setting.

The format of this event is 30 minutes of socializing with coffee, tea and biscuits (bring your own lunch), followed by a 30-minute presentation of a topic associated with the PhD situation or the research process. We very much welcome questions, debate and sharing of ideas during the session.

Regular time: Last Thursday of every month (with the occasional exception), 11.00am-12.00am

Regular locations:

  • Kristiansand: D2 023 (The History Room)
  • Grimstad: A2 068?

The topics covered at PhD Connect usually relate in some way to the Ph.D. situation or research process, for example in relation to information searching, researching, writing, and publishing. On these pages you can find more information about speakers and topics already covered, as well as a feedback form if you have suggestions for future topics or speakers. All suggestions are welcome!
