Hope you’ve settled back into university life — now that the semester’s underway, here’s what’s new at your University Library!
The first two weeks of the semester were exciting! Opening ceremony, registration of new students, lots of activities, such as sport competitions and zoo visiting! And what about the library? Our colleagues gave the newcomers a tour in the renovated, stylish and spacious library, describing all the benefits and facilities here. Come and have a look! 📚
There is a guidance desk on the first floor, just next to the stairs, details below 🔎That is a place where you can get advice from different subject librarians on various topics. It works from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays, so you can just ask for help if you need it.
You can also find an exhibition area on the second floor of the library. We advertise and promote new books, share information about the university research or events in the world. 🌍
There is a new exhibition about Norwegian emigration to America between 1825 and 1925. It is held due to 200th anniversary of the first organized emigration to the United States. “Crossings 200” is being commemorated all over the country. And the upcoming exhibition about happy moments of summer will be just in a few weeks! It is about sharing your vivid emotions, unforgettable experience and pleasant memories with each other. But we need your help – give your pictures and thoughts about summer as soon as possible! 🖼️
For those ones who enjoy peace and art 🎨- puzzles, chess and colourings are provided in the same presentation area. You are always welcome to express your ideas and wishes about everything here.
Are you still hesitating about going to the library? Come and enjoy cozy and inspiring atmosphere, helpful staff and plenty of priceless books! It is also a nice place to make friends with someone 😊 🥰
